An original idea is an endangered resource. We live in a system designed to hijack our attention and trade our potential for mindless noise. Most artists end up playing for the gallery, acting as mascots for public opinion instead of following an inner compass.
But the real satisfaction has nothing to do with the applause. It is that specific moment when a thought in your mind becomes a physical reality. That is the only metric of success that actually matters. Everything else is just a distraction from the work.
